નેશનલ કમિશન ફોર ઈન્ડિયન સિસ્ટમ ઓફ મેડિસિન, ભારત સરકારના તા. ૧૪/૧૦/૨૦૨૨ અને નેશનલ કમિશન ફોર હોમિયોપેથી તા. ૧૮/૧૦/૨૦૨૨ના સ્નાતક (UG-BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) અને અનુસ્નાતક (PG-MD/MS) આયુર્વેદ, સિદ્ધ, યુનાની અને હોમિયોપેથી (ASU & H) અભ્યાસક્રમોમાં કાઉન્સેલિંગ અને એડમિશન માટેની વ્યાપક માર્ગદર્શિકા- એકેડમિક વર્ષ- ૨૦૨૨-૨૩ મુજબ “રાજ્ય/ કેન્દ્રશાસિત પ્રદેશ ક્વોટાના 85% કિસ્સામાં, સરકારી ક્વોટા, મેનેજમેન્ટ ક્વોટા, એન આર આઈ ક્વોટા વગેરે માટે સીટ મેટ્રિક્સ સંબંધિત રાજ્ય/કેન્દ્રશાસિત પ્રદેશ નીતિ મુજબ હશે; અને આ સરકારી ક્વોટા, મેનેજમેન્ટ ક્વોટા, એનઆરઆઈ ક્વોટા વગેરે ના તમામ પ્રવેશો રાજ્ય/કેન્દ્રશાસિત પ્રદેશની કાઉન્સિલીંગ ઓથોરીટી (પ્રવેશ સમિતિ) દ્વારા કરવામાં આવશે.”

As per National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, Govt of India, dated 14/10/2022 and National Commission for Homoeopathy, Govt of India, dated 18/10/2022 Comprehensive Guidelines for Counseling and Admission in Undergraduate (UG-BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) & Postgraduate (PG-MD/MS) Courses of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani & Homoeopathy (ASU & H) for The Academic Session 2022-2023 “In case of 85% of State/UT quota, the seat matrix for Government Quota, Management Quota, NRI quota etc., shall be as per respective State and UT policy; however, all admissions in all quotas (Government Quota, Management Quota, NRI quota etc.) shall be through counseling conducted by State/UT counseling authority.”

The Government of Gujarat, in the Legislative Assembly has passed an act, Act No.3 of 2008 called “Gujarat Professional Educational Medical Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007” to make special provision for regulation of admission in the Professional Medical educational courses in the State and fixation of fees in such colleges or institutions and for matter connected therewith. As per the powers conferred to State Government, in Section 20(1) of the said Act, the Government of Gujarat, by way of a notification had constituted “Admission Committee for Professional Post Graduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC)” to regulate the admission of candidates to the Professional MD/MS/Diploma & MDS degree courses. The mission assigned to this Committee is to carry out the counseling process in a fair and transparent manner.
